Project details

Client: The Co-operative
Role: Lead UI/UX Designer
Date: 2013

What if walls were engaging?

Take a standard iPad with a 9.7-inch screen, and extend this to 55-inches and 220-inches in size – Inside The Co-operative’s shiny headquarters at One Angel Square in Manchester city centre sits 2 touchscreen walls that inform and amaze.

The Problem

The Co-operative’s previous headquarters at CIS Tower Manchester was littered with posters, print-offs, leaflets and notices for upcoming events, celebrations, news and announcements. An eye-sore that opposed The Co-op’s vision for a polished, clean environment in their new state-of-the-art HQ.

The Solution

What if a giant 220-inch MultiTouch touchscreen wall located in the gargantuan atrium were to become the place employees and guests access the vast array of announcements, history, and the wider knowledge-base for everything Co-operative Group?
